		<content type="html">Actor, activist, and author Ed Begley, Jr. delivers a keynote address entitled &amp;quot;Leading the Way Toward a Sustainable Future.&amp;quot; As well-known for his environmental advocacy as for his performing career, Begley lives in a self-sufficient Los Angeles-area home powered by solar energy and has written two books about the eco-friendly life&amp;#8212;&lt;em&gt;Guide to Sustainable Living&lt;/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;Living Like Ed&lt;/em&gt; (a companion to his &lt;em&gt;Living With Ed&lt;/em&gt; reality TV show). Matthew Coates, Coates Design Architects, has designed the first LEED Platinum home in Washington outside of Seattle (the Ellis residence on Bainbridge Island) for which he will receive a LEED Platinum Certificate.
