In the long run, how can this agreement strengthen the U.S. and EU economies and enhance their competitiveness at the global level? If successful, what are the benefits that the TTIP will bring about to Minnesota citizens and businesses? Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from Rainer Rudolph, head of the economic and commercial section at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Washington DC, as he provides Germany’s view of TTIP and how this will impact trade and investment between the world’s two leading economies. Germany is Minnesota’s top European export market and a significant foreign direct investment partner. In addition to TTIP, Mr. Rudolph will provide a briefing on the German Embassy’s recently launched Skills Initiative aimed at identifying and sharing information about best practices in sustainable workforce development. Through the initiative, the German Embassy is bringing together German and U.S. businesses and local education/training providers with the aim of developing training programs best suited to businesses’ needs.
