35th Annual Old-Time Music Festival

Patti Page, Bill Anderson and Over 650 performers on ten "sound" stages, including Hall of Fame inductions and RRMC CD's of the Year Awards. "Patti Page has sold more than 100-million units of recorded product, which has set a national and international record in amount of product sold. Without a doubt, Ms. Page not only holds the record for most records sold, she also did it by being part of the original identifiable 'country music' genre that helped make that happen. "The Tennessee Waltz" written by Pee Wee King and Redd Stewart was the one single song that tipped the scale in her favor, but "How Much Is That Doggie In The Window" helped too. Ms. Page will be inducted into 'America's Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame' while she is with us in LeMars, Iowa, at the Plymouth County Fairgrounds, Aug 30-Sept 5. "Joining Ms. Page with the same ideology at LeMars, is Whisperin' Bill Anderson, perhaps the last 'super-star' of the Grand Ole Opry. He has a similar approach to what country music is,… Friday, September 3, 2010. Plymouth County Fairgrounds Le Mars, Iowa. For more info visit www.orgsites.com.
