Walk MS Sioux City
What:
Walk MS has been a beacon of hope, inspiration, and financial support for the thousands of people living with multiple sclerosis. The North Central States Chapter MS Walks involves over 6,000 walkers and volunteers at the 14 sites across Iowa and North and South Dakota.
In Sioux City, Walk MS had a great year in 2009 with 151 registered walkers raising over $17,000. We hope to continue this trend in 2010, attracting 200 walkers and raising $21,000 for the Iowans living with multiple sclerosis.
When/Where:
On April 17, 2010 walkers will join at the Chris Larsen Park to help us move closer to a world free of MS.
How:
Participants walk individually or with a team of four or more people. There is no registration fee but as incentives for raising money, t-shirts are awarded for $100 pledges.
After turning their pledges in, participants and volunteers enjoy coffee and a continental breakfast before the walk. Walkers enjoy a beautiful trek along the river. Once they return, everyone can relax wit…
