A Day of Celebration:Telling Our Story Past to Present-1927-2010
The Houston Alumnae Chapter (HAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated has provided public service to the Houston community for over 80 years. HAC made history by becoming the first Black Greek-letter organization to establish a chapter in the Houston area. Many notable women have served as members and officers of the chapter including Dr. Thelma Patten Law, the first Black female to establish an obstetrician/gynecologist practice in Houston, as well as the late Congresswoman Barbara Jordan.
