The Idaho Bass Federation (TIBF) annual awards banquet and auction

The event is open to the public, and will raise funds for youth programs and conservation activities throughout the state of Idaho. Banquet tickets are available for $30 at various locations in the Treasure Valley, and include an entry for the major prize drawing. The social begins at 5 PM; the plated dinner begins at 6 PM. The fund-raiser will feature many valuable auction and raffle items. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at the banquet.
TIBF is involved in numerous conservation projects, normally in conjunction with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. Our activities generally involve habitat enhancement for all fish species. Several artists near Burley, Idaho open their studios to the public once a month for four hours. There are several locations each month. It is possible to visit three or four different studios and several artists in one evening. Each studio has new work to be seen each month. The work to be seen is varied and exciting. Often guest artists are invited and show in the host studio.
Families, individuals and carloads of friends are invited to make it a regular, monthly trek. It is possible to watch work develop from month to month. Light refreshments are served in some studios. Foothills School of Arts and Sciences, a pre-k through 9th grade independent school in downtown Boise, is introducing an after-school arts program that is open to the Boise community.
The Foothills after-school program offers two courses: Musical Theater and Choir. Musical Theater runs Tuesdays from September 22 to December 8 from 3:45-5:45 p.m. with two dress rehearsals and a performance on December 17, 2009. The cost of Musical Theater is $195. Scholarships are available, and all ages are welcome.

Local historian Ann Felton will present "The River and Beyond" - a slide show and presentation on Boise's growth and the role the Boise River played in its expansion and modernization. Ann teaches History at Boise State University and in 2006-2007 served as Boise's City Historian.

Parents need to stay healthy and warm to care for their children. Donated coats will be sorted for women of City Light, YWCA, and The Boise Rescue Mission. Time: 7 PM –sharp until about 8 PM Registration is after the orientation until about 8:45 PM
Who: All interested Parents/Guardians AND their 8 – 17 year old Boys & Girls.
What: Boot Camp will be a weekend of training. It will start on Friday, at 18:00 (6:00 PM). It will include spending Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night at the armory “camping.” All meals will be included (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). There will be approximately 26+ hours of training to teach each child the basics necessary to become a Young Marine. The Boot Camp Graduation will be held on Following Tuesday night.
