The Salvation Army in Need of Volunteers for the Christmas Season
The Quincy Salvation Army is in need of volunteers for its many Christmas activities. Sign up is going on now for bell ringing at the various Salvation Army kettle locations. With 15 different kettle locations, it takes at least 6,000 volunteer hours for all of them to be staffed by just one person. Kettle locations that are not staffed with volunteers are filled with temporary paid bell ringers. Volunteering to bell ring is one way to make an early Christmas donation to The Salvation Army! Volunteers are also needed for other Christmas activities such as staffing the Angel Tree at The Quincy Mall, Christmas basket packing and distribution, and Toy Town. Volunteers can sign-up for Christmas Day dinner beginning December 7.
For more information regarding volunteering for bell ringing or other Christmas activities, please call (217) 222-2087.
