Lecture by Artist Tokihiro Sato
A talk by Tokihiro Sato is one of Japan's best known artists working in photography. Trained as a sculptor, he has been using photography since the late 1980s to express his ideas about light and space. In an ongoing series that he describes as "breath graphs" or "photo respiration," tiny points of light or illuminated lines record his movements through space.

Registration Period for Russian Language and Culture for Children
A program of instruction in Russian language and culture for children between the ages of 6 and 11 will incorporate games, songs, and other cultural activities.
Classes will be offered both for children growing up in a Russian-speaking household and children with no regular exposure to Russian outside of the classroom. Teachers are native speakers of Russian.

Bloomington Chefs Challenge
Community Kitchen will hold the fourth annual Bloomington’s Chefs’ Challenge this upcoming Labor Day weekend. Based on television’s popular Iron Chef, this culinary event will feature three local chefs who will have one hour to prepare a winning dish from a pantry of ingredients. A “mystery ingredient” will be revealed right before the competition begins. CATS film crews will show close-ups of the fast-paced action on the theater's big screen. Emcees will update the audience as the competition heats up and the celebrity judges will pick the top dish. Judging is based on the use of time, use of product, including secret ingredient, presentation and taste. Two chefs will be chosen through to compete against last year’s winner, Dave Tallent of Restaurant Tallent.

Kinsey Institute Postpartum Research Study
Researchers at The Kinsey Institute are currently seeking women with infants aged 3-6 months. Postpartum women who are feeling depressed or anxious are eligible. You do not have to be diagnosed with postpartum depression to participate. You will be asked to view pictures while in a brain-imaging fMRI scanner to help us understand changes in brain function during the postpartum period. You will receive $80.00 as compensation, as well as free childcare during your participation.

Registration Period for Russian Language and Culture for Children
A program of instruction in Russian language and culture for children between the ages of 6 and 11 will incorporate games, songs, and other cultural activities.
Classes will be offered both for children growing up in a Russian-speaking household and children with no regular exposure to Russian outside of the classroom. Teachers are native speakers of Russian.

A Look Back at the Greystone Hotel
In 1923, the Bedford, Indiana, Greystone Hotel was promoted as the finest hotel in this part of the country. This exhibition presents artifacts and photographs celebrating the now-demolished landmark and the role it played in Lawrence County history. Limestone Carvings and Paper Rubbings by local artist Amy Brier. Amy Brier’s artwork, carved directly in stone, combines traditional carving techniques with contemporary art ideas such as public interaction and appropriation.

Kinsey Institute Postpartum Research Study
Researchers at The Kinsey Institute are currently seeking women with infants aged 3-6 months. Postpartum women who are feeling depressed or anxious are eligible. You do not have to be diagnosed with postpartum depression to participate. You will be asked to view pictures while in a brain-imaging fMRI scanner to help us understand changes in brain function during the postpartum period. You will receive $80.00 as compensation, as well as free childcare during your participation.

Registration Period for Russian Language and Culture for Children
A program of instruction in Russian language and culture for children between the ages of 6 and 11 will incorporate games, songs, and other cultural activities.
Classes will be offered both for children growing up in a Russian-speaking household and children with no regular exposure to Russian outside of the classroom. Teachers are native speakers of Russian.

Limestone Carvings and Paper Rubbings by local artist Amy Brier. Amy Brier’s artwork, carved directly in stone, combines traditional carving techniques with contemporary art ideas such as public interaction and appropriation.

The Kinsey Institute's Artist Talk - "The Female Body Transformed Through Experience: Personal Truth, Public Controversy" by Yara Ferreira Clüver
Artist and educator Yara Ferreira Clüver will present a lecture titled "The Female Body Transformed Through Experience: Personal Truth, Public Controversy." Ms. Clüver will examine depictions of the female nude from varying perspectives and focus on how particular depictions of the female body from an unconventional perspective result in controversy. Her own experience of giving birth to a daughter with health issues was the starting point for a photo-based body of work entitled "Beyond the Barrier of Skin".
Following the talk is an opening reception for The Kinsey Institute's Art Exhibit "Nature & Nurturing: Exploring Human Reproduction from Pregnancy through Early Childhood." Kinsey Institute Postpartum Research Study
Researchers at The Kinsey Institute are currently seeking women with infants aged 3-6 months. Postpartum women who are feeling depressed or anxious are eligible. You do not have to be diagnosed with postpartum depression to participate. You will be asked to view pictures while in a brain-imaging fMRI scanner to help us understand changes in brain function during the postpartum period. You will receive $80.00 as compensation, as well as free childcare during your participation.

A Look Back at the Greystone Hotel
In 1923, the Bedford, Indiana, Greystone Hotel was promoted as the finest hotel in this part of the country. This exhibition presents artifacts and photographs celebrating the now-demolished landmark and the role it played in Lawrence County history. The museum is open from 9 am-4 pm Tuesday through Friday and 9 am-3 pm on Saturday.

Limestone Carvings and Paper Rubbings by local artist Amy Brier. Amy Brier’s artwork, carved directly in stone, combines traditional carving techniques with contemporary art ideas such as public interaction and appropriation.
While her main means of production is carving, she does not limit her efforts to a single “signature” medium. Instead, she moves between various media such as glass, stone, paper, metal, and sand.
