Project Lazarus Bread Gifting Ministry Project
Lazarus operates through the generosity of Panera Bread as a ministry of St. Athanasius Orthodox Church. Project Lazarus gives free packages of bread and bagels away each Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. out of St. Athanasius, located at 926 S. Main St. (next to Prescription Pad). LIFE Group
Jessamine Christian Church, 130 Courchelle Drive, 887-8757, has started a new LIFE Group for those who are single, divorced, widowed, or married; whose spouse does not attend church. This is not a support group, rather a group of people engaged in learning, involvement, fellowship, and encouragement together. We are sensitive to the feelings that people alone encounter in the church where so much is oriented toward couples. This new group meets on Sunday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the church. Childcare is provided for single parents wishing to participate. We are studying John 3:16 by Max Lucado. If you would like to get connected to the Body of Christ, please join us. Our next meeting is October 12.
