Parade Day at the Irish Center
Join us after the St. Patrick's Day Parade for a full day of music, dancing and entertainment! The Irish Center will be open from mid-afternoon with music and dancing throughout the Center for your enjoyment after the parade. In the Fireside Room, DJ John Shields will play for your dancing pleasure, alternating with popular local duo, “The King Brothers” singing your favorite Irish ballads and with traditional singer/musician duo Kevin Brennan and Mary Malone with a mixture of dance tunes, old-time waltzes and songs from Ireland. In the Ballroom, you can enjoy the dance music and songs of The Vincent Gallagher Band, who will be joined for a last few songs by Annmarie O’Riordan before her return to Ireland. Food will be available for purchase by Micky Kavanagh. Admission is $10 at the door, children under 16 are free.

Irish Memorial Commemoration
This annual event pays tribute to the millions who perished in Ireland or who were forced to emigrate from their homeland as a direct result of the Irish Starvation. It also celebrates the accomplishments and contributions that the Irish have made to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the U.S. 10:30-11:00 Music from St. Malachy's College Ensemble, Belfast, N. Ireland. 11:00-12 Noon-program featuring Mayor Nutter, Rev. Edw. Brady, Councilman Wm. J. Green, James J. White, John Egan, Jr. Kathy Orr, Emerald Society Pipe Band, McDade Irish Dancers and others.
