Snowshoeing

Sports & Recreation Snowshoeing on March 16th & 25th from 3:30-5:30 pm. We’ll meet at ILC and Rick of Adventure 60 will have snowshoes for rent for $5 each. Then we’ll carpool out to either Bear Lake or Exit Glacier Road. Please dress warmly, drive if you can and bring a water bottle. Risan Project at the Yukon Bar March 14th

Live Music/ Concerts Salem is touring Alaska for 3 weeks on a statewide tour of music venues and heli-ski lodges. Select shows will be part of the Risan Project multi media tour that includes film premiers, live music and presentations from local avalanche forecasters. Highlights of the tour are the Tailgate Alaska Kickoff Party in Valdez, a weekend at the Sitzmark, the 10 year anniversary equinox party at the Alaska Rendezvous Heli Lodge in Valdez and the Klondike Gold Rush Costume Party at the Alaska Hotel and Bar in Juneau. Salem plays conscious funk, jazz, Hip-Hop composed by drummer/singer Todd Anders Johnson. The group has toured consistently throughout the US and Canada for the last 5 years at music venues, festivals, colleges and the biggest ski and snowboard events: the US Snowboarding Grand Prix at Copper 2010, the VISA Cup in Telluride 2010, the Winter X 12 Games, the 48 Straight King of the Mountain in Sun Valley 2009 and the US Freeskiing Open in Copper 2009.
