Mark Antony, one of the Triumviri of Rome along with Octavius Caesar and Aemilius Lepidus, has neglected his soldierly duties after being beguiled by Egypt's Queen, Cleopatra. He ignores Rome's domestic problems, including the fact that his wife, Fulvia, rebelled against Octavius, and then died.
Octavius calls Antony back to Rome from Alexandria in order to help him fight against Pompey (Sextus Pompeius), Menacretes, and Menas, three notorious pirates. Cleopatra begs Antony not to go, and though he repeatedly affirms his love for her, he eventually leaves.
Back in Rome, O…

Antony & Cleopatra, by William Shakespeare - July 8 -August 1, 2010
All audiences: some scenes of violence, treachery and murder--and a few bawdy jokes.

DJ Williams Projekt @ Cafe Diem
When you combine a tight groovin' rhythm section, sweet horn lines, and an amazing guitar player player who plays with honest to God soul, you've got yourself a solid winner when it comes to entertaining a crowd.
Complex or simple, Williams's lines become funk chops, picking up speed one minute and slamming a 180 on a dime the next with the "Projekt" backing it up all along and enhancing the ride. The band describes it as "a soulful ensemble of jazz, on a melodic R&B vibe, laced with a grooved down hip hop back beat.".

Henricus Dauber Dash at Henricus Historical Park
Enjoy the beauty of one of America’s oldest settlements….through a layer of mud. Just like the Daubers that built the mud houses in the Citie of Henricus, you will have a chance to relive your childhood with plenty of messy mud on hand at the Henricus Dauber Dash. The 5-mile course starts in the Citie and goes around the trail loop at Dutch Gap, but this isn’t your typical trail run.
Think much, much messier. We guarantee you will get wet and dirty as you climb, crawl and weave through multiple obstacles along the way. And just when you think you can’t get any dirtier, you’ll come face-to-face with the final mud pit at the finish overlooking the scenic James River. The Henricus Dauber Dash, the best of nature, history and fun…all rolled in mud. This is not a race for walkers!

J. Medicine Hat at Funny Bone
J. Medicine Hat has been a fixture in the comedy club scene for over 20 years. He started his career in the early 80"s as a Stand-up Comedian, Star Search soon followed along with Showtime, HBO, MTV and VH1. After a gig in 1993 as an opening act for another hypnotist J. had the so-called-light-bulb-moment. Add Hypnosis and be the King. Comedy and Hypnosis in tandem... Hypo-Comedy was born. Since rust never sleeps, J. has become the pacesetter not the follower in the area of hypnosis. His shows are sold out over and over in venues across the country.
