And finally, a short by Wendy Prosise: “A Small Mall, After All” is a farce exploring the negative side of always being "connected." "A Step Back in Time": Living History at the Indian Agency House

Ever wonder what it was like to live in the 1830s? (No telephones, no TV. no cars, no refrigerator…) Well…take a step back in time with us and find out! The Historic Indian Agency House is holding a living history event on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 9AM to 5PM. At “A Step Back in Time,” visitors to the site will get the chance to observe and interact with a host of 19th-century characters in an authentic historic setting, including John and Juliette Kinzie (original inhabitants of the circa-1832 Agency House), a French fur trader, a blacksmith, and an officer from Fort Winnebago. The performers will go about their 19th-century lives in costume and in character all of Saturday, with special historic demonstrations, activities, and museum house tours scheduled throughout the day. The Annual Dane County Fire Chiefs Association Fire Truck Parade is taking place this Sunday, October 3. This popular event is held each year to mark the beginning of Fire Prevention Week in Dane County. The parade includes nearly 40 fire trucks from many of the Dane County Fire Departments. The parade is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 3. The fire vehicles start at the intersection of State Street and Lake Street and proceed up State Street to the Capitol Square.
