You will learn about and practice intentional listening skills with Elijah Pouges, AKA BRZ, a musician and sound artist in Los Angeles. We will learn how to listen for sounds, record them using field recording equipment, and plan for the second workshop's song creation project.
This will be a two-part workshop. Space is limited, and registration required.
The sound walk and field recording is on May 16, and please be prepared to move from the library to nearby areas via the sidewalk for 30-45 minutes. On May 30, you will learn to incorporate your recordings into a musical project. We will be using StudioOne audio software in the Fab Lab.
