Join us to mark the second anniversary of the spa shootings in Atlanta. Deepa Iyer, a social justice advocate and author, will provide remarks about how Asian Americans build community and solidarity during times of crisis. Iyer is a writer, lawyer, and strategist. She currently works at the Building Movement Project and was the former director of South Asian Americans Leading Together. She is the author of We Too Sing America: South Asian, Arab, Muslim and Sikh Immigrants Shape Our Multiracial Future, and Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection.
