Held in the Toms River Library's Bishop Building
Accidents, natural disasters, and tragedies can’t be completely avoided, but knowledgeable planning can mitigate their impacts. Jamie Arasz Prioli, MS, CRC, ATP, Assistant Director of Disability Services at Ocean County College, Toms River, will conduct the seminar to help individuals with autism and their families, friends, and caregivers cope with emergencies. Participants will learn how to create plans to match individual needs, how to prepare a home, and how to connect with organizations that provide disaster and emergency support. Jamie Prioli chairs the Ocean County Core Advisory Group (CAG) – Emergency Preparedness for Individuals with Disabilities, and addresses disability-related topics locally and nationally, including disaster preparation and whole community planning. The Autism Resources Fair is sponsored by the Ocean County Library Foundation.
