Under the Microscope Series is a virtual professional learning platform designed to cultivate community and enhance the skills of Mississippi science stakeholders. This online space serves as a hub for exploring and discussing current trends, relevant topics, and emerging issues in science teaching and learning. Furthermore, we share effective instructional strategies and practices aimed at providing students with optimal science education. By connecting science educators across Mississippi and the nation, this series fosters a strong professional community.
Each month features a distinct and pertinent topic, facilitating in-depth discussions led by both Mississippi colleagues and national experts.
Active participation throughout the July-to-May cycle provides 22 hours of professional learning contact time, which can be applied towards professional learning credits (CEUs, OSLs, SEMIs).
