In honor of Veterans Day, the University of Kansas Medical Center is hosting a Keynote Presentation featuring Kansas House District 20 Representative, Mari-Lynn Poskin. The daughter of an Air Force Colonel, Mari-Lynn Poskin has lived all across the United States but proudly calls Kansas home—by choice. Like her political approach, she believes the best solutions are found in the middle.
Rep. Poskin currently serves on four committees in the Kansas House of Representatives, including the Veterans & Military Committee of which she is the Ranking Member. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education and small business ownership, she has worked in admissions, academic advising, financial aid, and as a campus director at trade schools, community colleges, and four-year universities. Her career reflects a deep commitment to expanding lifelong learning opportunities for all Kansans.
Please join us for this conversation with Mari-Lynn as she addresses both current issues Kansas Veterans are facing and expanding opportunities for advancing veteran support.Events are open the entire KU and KU Medical Center community.Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all KU Medical Center sponsored events.
