SERC in collaboration with the CSDE will develop and present bi-weekly Talk Tuesday sessions. Talk Tuesdays are a "drop-in" networking opportunity that provides district and school staff an opportunity to learn about "what’s new", hear from topic area experts and support each other and their work to improve student attendance and engagement. Virtual sessions are held bi-weekly and engage state agency, district and school staff in an open dialogue around student attendance and engagement. Objectives: The objectives of Talk Tuesdays are to share lessons learned, trouble-shoot common concerns and provide overall support to each other. Participants help identify the topics for future meetings, present problems of practice, and spend time together in small group discussions Target Audience: Open to all in education (PreK-12) and education related agencies. Participants often include: district, school and community leaders and staff working to improve attendance and engagement; especially school administrators, special education staff, student support staff, bi-lingual educators, home visitors, family engagement specialists, and many others.
