Looking to grow your professional network but not sure where to start? Whether you’re preparing for a career inside or outside of academia, this session will equip you with practical tools and strategies to build meaningful professional relationships. Questions we will answer include: How do I build my network? Who should I connect with and how do I connect with them? What do I share about myself and what questions do I ask them? What do I talk about? What is an informational interview and how do I do one? How do I network if the idea of networking makes me nervous or uncomfortable? The audience for this workshop is LGS master’s and PhD students in all disciplines. This is your opportunity to gain insight, ask questions, and practice real-world networking skills in a supportive environment. Walk away with the confidence to make valuable connections and take your career development to the next level.
This will be a participatory, in-person workshop and will not be recorded.
