Looking for an exciting way to earn academic credit while traveling during your winter break? Join Classical Studies Professor Bruce Hitchner for a unique 2.5-week excursion to the south of France to explore how the Greeks, Romans, and Celts in Ancient Gaul (modern France) influenced French culture and history. The numerous site visits included will illuminate the course material and regional history in a way that readings alone cannot. Students at all levels and in all majors are encouraged to apply! Course info: CLS 149 awards 3 SHUs and counts toward Humanities. Very limited scholarship funding is available; priority will be given to students demonstrating the most financial need. Program applications (link TBD) will be considered on a rolling basis with a priority submission deadline of October 15, 2022. Applications received after that date (but no later than November 1, 2022) will be considered if space allows.
