"Tuning In" is a Monthly Special Education Teacher Chat that provides teachers an opportunity to connect and learn more about various topics regarding students with hearing impairment. November's teacher chat will focus on: Relationship of Hearing Loss to Listening and Learning Needs Developed by Anderson & Matkin (2007). Teachers of students with hearing impairment will have an opportunity to examine possible impacts on the understanding of speech and language, recognize the social and emotional impacts, and identify recommended accommodations and educational supports.
