About WISHA 10 for Agriculture Certification
L&I offers free workplace safety and health training for agriculture. This training will benefit both workers and employers through safer workplaces and fewer incidents. It also promotes a culture of safety and health through peer training.
This is a 2-day (10 hours) class. This certification is a pre-requesite for the Training-of-Trainers program (40 hours) course.
WISHA 10 for Agriculture Workers will be provided by certified trainers. The class is a 10-hour training to help increase agriculture workers to recognize and eliminate workplace hazards, as well as to promote a culture of safety and health through peer training.
Successful participants will receive a WISHA 10 for Agriculture Certification Card and Certificate of Completion.
Class participants will learn to avoid the "Top 5" agriculture hazards:Struck by machinery or an objectFalls from heightsCaught in or between moving objectsPesticide exposureImproper use or lack of personal protective equipment (PPE)Class participants will receive instruction on:Workplace hazardsEmployee/employer responsibilitiesHow to file a complaintHow to identify, abate, avoid, and prevent job-related hazards
