Get the tools to present your own at-home storytime. You'll learn the basics of early literacy and storytime components, explore different reading materials and reading techniques, and discover ways to "play" and use your voice and facial expressions in engaging ways as you read and interpret a story.
This workshop focuses on parental and caretaker involvement as the child's "first teacher." Each family will receive a storytime starter tool kit including a simple flannel story set, a booklet of songs and fingerplays, list of suggested books, and books for your home library.
These info sessions are for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-5 and will include a storytime, play time, and activities for children. Presented in collaboration with Flights of Fantasy Story Theatre.
Lunch will be provided.
Please sign up here to attend.
