Is a hands-on, workforce readiness workshop designed to help job seekers understand and adapt to today’s technology driven hiring process. Many qualified applicants are not being rejected due to lack of experience but because their applications never reach a human reviewer. This workshop addresses how automated hiring systems impact job searches and introduces participants to practical, accessible tools that help them be seen and heard by employers. Participants will learn how to: Understand how modern hiring systems screen candidates.
Create a Ceemingly applicant profile (free). Record a clear, professional video cover letter and video résumé using basic equipment (such as a smartphone). The use of equipment will be provided on site for individuals who need it. Communicate skills, experience, and career goals confidently on camera. Align video presentations with their résumé and what local employers look for when reviewing candidates. The session includes a live demonstration, employer insights, step-by-step guidance using Ceemingly’s 59-second video résumé framework and great interviewing tips. Time will also be reserved for questions and participant support. Laptops will be provided (limited quantity) we encourage you to bring your own laptop as this is an interactive workshop. We encourage participants that have their résumé (as pdf format) to have it available for the workshop and a pre-recorded video résumé if available prior to class. This workshop is designed to reduce barriers for individuals impacted by limited access to technology and to support equitable hiring opportunities by helping job seekers present themselves beyond traditional résumés and connect directly with hiring teams at companies when applying.
