How to cope with the current upheaval of this world is a question many of us find ourselves asking...but what peace can come when we feel truly connected to ourselves? What joy is possible when we feel belonging with each other? In this workshop, we’re going to explore how breath, simple movement, and play can help us feel more connected to ourselves, our community, and our world. Registration required.
With support from Direct Relief, the Altadena Library District is partnering with local organizations to offer workshops, trainings, and other activities for all ages that promote community health and well-being in the aftermath of the Eaton Fire. The funding will also help create a collection of wellness materials and supplies available for patrons to access during their visits. In addition, plans include hosting a mental health fair featuring engaging, evidence-based activities designed to support emotional resilience and connection.About the presenterKiki WillIams (she/they) is a third generation Altadenian who shows up in her life these days as a multi-passionate human being in pursuit of both personal and collective freedom. When she’s not managing Octavia’s Bookshelf and slinging juicy queer fiction, you can find her traipsing through the mountains, reading, or leading folks in somatic and relational mindfulness.
