The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Mission and Values statement emphasizes a community of critical thinkers, leaders, and visionaries. The first step to becoming an effective leader is discovering your values, purpose and the influences on such that form the bedrock of your leadership. In this 3-hour workshop, you will better understand the essence of character-based leadership by exploring the defining moments in your life, understanding how they shaped your values and unpacking the resources you have available to effectively lead with purpose and conviction. You will come away with greater self-awareness as well as a draft leadership philosophy that will serve as a compass for your actions as you influence and inspire stakeholders.
