Join us for the School of Medicine's 3rd annual Juneteenth Program. This year, in partnership with our colleagues in the Woodruff Health Sciences Center and Grady Health System, we will celebrate with a panel discussion on the documentary, "Power to Heal". The online program will be hosted by Dr. Sheryl Heron and moderated by Drs. Nate Spell and Nancy DeSousa. The panelists include Drs. Nanette Wenger, (a renowned cardiologist who has worked for decades at Grady and featured in the film), Joanne McGriff (Chief Diversity Officer - RSPH), Yolanda Wimberly (Chief Health Equity Officer Grady Health System), Mr. Ildemaro Gonzalez (Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer - EHC), Jasmine Clark (SON & Georgia House of Representatives, District 108), and Jasmin Eatman (Emory MD/PhD student / Spelman Graduate). We look forward to an engaging discussion on the historic struggle to secure equal and adequate access to healthcare for all Americans. Please contact somdei@emory.edu if you plan to facilitate a watch session or would like your perspective shared during the panelist discussion. Film details login below. Please register.
