Come learn about the historic Weaving Program at Black Mountain College (1933-1956) and try your hand at weaving using a mini loom!
Julie J. Thomson, co-author and co-curator of Weaving at Black Mountain College will discuss the book and exhibition, explain how "weaving literary" was experienced throughout BMC from the classes taught by Anni Albers and others, and lead participants in a hands-on weaving workshop.
Registration is required and attendance will be limited.
This program is presented in partnership with Buncombe County Special Collections and Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center.
