CT's 8th Annual Secondary Transition Symposium: My Goals, My Future, My Life!*This is a three (3) day event - Tuesday, February 7th (8:30am - 12:30pm), Tuesday, February 14th (12:30pm - 4:00pm), and Tuesday, February 28, 2023 (5:30pm - 7:30pm)
The Connecticut Secondary Transition Symposium brings students and their families together with educators and other professionals to improve secondary transition programming and services for students with disabilities. The 8th annual symposium, with the theme of "My Goals, My Joy, My Future, My Life!", will continue to build the capacity of educators and other professionals, in partnership with middle and high school students with disabilities and their families, to help ensure successful postsecondary outcomes.
Please note that you will be asked to create a CANVAS account during the conference to stay up to date on the sessions that will be offered through the first two (2) days of the conference.The symposium will be virtual this year and held on three weekdays over three weeks.
The event is hosted by the CT Department of Developmental Services (DDS), the CT Department of Aging and Disability Services (ADS), the Connecticut Parent Advocacy Center (CPAC), the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE), the State Education Resource Center (SERC), and the University of Connecticut Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD).
