In this workshop, we will discuss skills and strategies for clearly and compellingly presenting research (in all fields) to a general audience. An emphasis will be placed on defining the narrative in your own work and using that narrative to explain your research in a compelling manner. Whether you are preparing for the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) and Master’s Showcase competition, a job interview, a networking conversation, or a family reunion, being able to explain the significance of your research in an understandable way is important. Be prepared to practice in a welcoming and encouraging environment.
