SAAM is excited to bring to DC an incredible collaboration, titled /’entrǝpē/, between artist and filmmaker Mickalene Thomas and Grammy Award-winning drummer and composer Terri Lyne Carrington. Thomas is known for her work that explores notions of beauty, sexuality, and black female identity (may not be appropriate for all ages). Carrington will perform original music to accompany several videos by Thomas, followed by a conversation and a Q&A. Tickets ($30) are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Supported by the Julie Walters and Sam Rose endowment.
